If you're buying
Meet the seller in a public place, and bring someone with you if possible.
Inspect the item in person before paying — never pay in advance for something you haven't seen.
Verify a seller's badge before trusting claims about a listing's condition or documents.
For vehicles and property, ask to see the original registration or ownership documents.
If you're selling
Never share OTPs, passwords, or bank PINs with a buyer — IdealAssets staff will never ask for these either.
Accept payment only through verified methods, and confirm it's actually received before handing over the item.
Avoid sharing your home address until you've exchanged a few messages and are comfortable with the buyer.
Report suspicious behavior (requests to move the chat off-platform, unusual urgency, deals that feel too good) immediately.
If something feels wrong, trust that instinct — walk away from the deal. You can report a listing or a user directly from its page, or contact our support team.
