IdealAssets — Buy, Sell, Rent

Listing Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

This Listing Policy sets out the rules for posting an ad on IdealAssets. It applies in addition to our Terms & Conditions and Prohibited Items Policy.

1. Who Can Post a Listing

You must have a registered IdealAssets account and be at least 18 years old to post a listing. You must own the item, or otherwise have the legal right to sell or rent it out, before listing it.

2. Accuracy

Your listing's title, description, price, condition, and photos must accurately represent the item being offered. Do not misrepresent an item's condition, specifications, ownership status, or location.

3. Photos

Photos must be of the actual item you're listing, taken by you or with permission. Do not use stock photos, another seller's photos, or watermarked/stolen images to represent your item.

4. One Listing Per Item

Do not post duplicate listings for the same item. Repeated near-identical listings (including near-identical photos) may be automatically held for review or removed.

5. Pricing

State a genuine asking price. Do not use a placeholder or unrealistic price to attract clicks and then negotiate a materially different price off-platform.

6. Category and Location

List your item in the category that best matches it, and set an accurate city/area. Miscategorized listings may be moved or removed.

7. Moderation and Review

New listings may be held for review before going live, particularly where our systems detect a possible duplicate or a photo that closely matches another listing. We may reject, edit, suspend, or remove a listing that violates this policy, our Terms, or our Prohibited Items Policy, at our discretion.

8. Editing and Expiry

You can edit a listing's details, photos, and price at any time from My Ads, including after it's live, to fix a mistake. Listings expire automatically after a period of inactivity and can be renewed or reposted.

9. Marking as Sold and Removing a Listing

Mark a listing as sold once the item is no longer available, and delete a listing you no longer want visible. Keeping an unavailable item listed as active misleads other users and may result in the listing being removed.

10. Boosted and Promoted Listings

Paid promotions increase a listing's visibility but do not exempt it from this policy. A listing that violates this policy may be removed regardless of any promotion purchased for it, without entitling the seller to a refund of the promotion fee.

11. Consequences of Violation

Violating this policy may result in listing removal, loss of promotion credit, or suspension of your account, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.
